Joel da Silveira's late challenge caught a Atlético de Cajazeiras's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Joel da Silveira helped the player get up and apologised. In the 14th minute, Joel da Silveira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 19th minute, Juan Prado managed to get in a good position for a shot. Clube Atlético Tupã's supporters rose to their feet, but Juan Prado was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Adalberto Melo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Adalberto Melo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Clóvis Saldanha in the 21st minute of play. After 24 played minutes Clube Atlético Tupã got a freekick which was hit by Clóvis Saldanha. If Gabriel Moura had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 27 played minutes, Clube Atlético Tupã's Fernandão Leite shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Adalberto Melo came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Clube Atlético Tupã reached it. Gilmar Pinheiro hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. If Clóvis Saldanha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Juan Prado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adalberto Melo having to interfere. Adalberto Melo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Clóvis Saldanha, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 41st minute, Juan Prado got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 43 minutes of play, Clube Atlético Tupã's Clóvis Saldanha made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Adalberto Melo was left in no man's land by his defense there! Luciano Martins made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gabriel Moura in the 48th minute of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Eurico Dantas to strike the kick off in the second half. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Clóvis Saldanha in the 53rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Adalberto Melo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Giuseppe Toscano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adalberto Melo having to interfere. Through an outstanding action, after 64 minutes, Luciano Martins successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Adalberto Melo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Clóvis Saldanha, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. Clube Atlético Tupã's Joel da Silveira got his second yellow card of the match in the 79th minute. The referee ordered Joel da Silveira off the ground. After a rather tough play, Clube Atlético Tupã's Joel da Silveira got a free kick in the 80th minute. When Clóvis Saldanha came up free with the goalie in the 86th minute, the Clube Atlético Tupã fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Clóvis Saldanha couldn't finish the play. 90 minutes into the match, Atlético de Cajazeiras's goal looked a bit too open when Juan Prado came free, but Adalberto Melo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Atlético de Cajazeiras's zone, Giuseppe Toscano stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Adalberto Melo came out of the goal and Giuseppe Toscano tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Giuseppe Toscano kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. Eurico Dantas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
