Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) After a defensive mix-up in Cavalheiros's zone, Jano Urbano stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eliseu Bastos came out of the goal and Jano Urbano tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Antônio Carlos do Vale fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eliseu Bastos having to interfere. After 9 minutes, Basílio Custódio mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Deportivo Flamengo and the Cavalheiros players grew even worse after the yellow card. Basílio Custódio hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. After 10 played minutes, Cavalheiros's Erasmo Vander shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Rony Vale came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Cavalheiros reached it. 20 minutes into the game, Antônio Carlos do Vale cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Eliseu Bastos was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 25 minutes into the match, Cavalheiros's goal looked a bit too open when Rodriguinho Vinhas came free, but Eliseu Bastos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Eliseu Bastos came out of the goal in the 26th minute to try and stop a shot by Deportivo Flamengo's Gernando Pimenta. But to his dismay, Gernando Pimenta quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Deportivo Flamengo's defense didn't have a chance, in the 38th minute, when Jano Hermes scored to the left of an out of position Rony Vale, making the score, 1-2. Dagoberto Mello kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Hélio Galvão in the 46th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Eliseu Bastos prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Basílio Custódio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Eliseu Bastos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Cavalheiros players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Deportivo Flamengo were winning 1-2.
If Antônio Carlos do Vale had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 60th minute, Deportivo Flamengo's Antônio Carlos do Vale dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-3. After 66 played minutes Cavalheiros got a freekick which was hit by Enio Azevedo. 68 minutes into the match, Deportivo Flamengo's Hélio Galvão sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Eliseu Bastos narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Eliseu Bastos didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Hélio Galvão went, in the 71st minute, to the upper right corner, 1-4 was the resulting score. If Antônio Carlos do Vale had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hélio Galvão sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience was convinced that Antônio Carlos do Vale's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Eliseu Bastos was relentless in the 80th minute of the game. Basílio Custódio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Eliseu Bastos didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Antônio Carlos do Vale went, in the 82nd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-5 was the resulting score. Basílio Custódio in the 88thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Eliseu Bastos, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Pedro Luís Hermes kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. Cavalheiros's Eliseu Bastos proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 90th minute of the match, managed to save Cavalheiros from getting a goal against them. Deportivo Flamengo's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
