Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Enio Arósio made the kick off which started today's match. After 2 played minutes Percival Motta could catch the ball where he stood relatively free a bit outside the goal and without hesitation he completed 1-0 into the left cross. In the 11th minute, Léo Passos got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Enio Arósio recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 12th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 14 minutes into the match, Fao EC's goal looked a bit too open when Léo Passos came free, but Erivaldo Azevedo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match clock showed 17 minutes, the score became 1-1 when Enio Arósio sped through Fao EC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Erivaldo Azevedo. After having played for 22 minutes, Léo Passos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Varjao SS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Léo Passos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 24 played minutes Fao EC got a freekick which was hit by Wiliam Urbano. After 28 minutes, Umberto Cardozo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Varjao SS and the Fao EC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Fao EC booed when Varjao SS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Umberto Cardozo didn't get a good kick on the ball. The attack was good, but when Edmundo Alagoano in the 29th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Enio Arósio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Erivaldo Azevedo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Léo Passos struck a weak shot in the 35th minute. Erivaldo Azevedo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Varjao SS. If Léo Passos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Enio Arósio's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Erivaldo Azevedo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 39th minute of play. Erivaldo Azevedo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Enio Arósio, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. Enio Arósio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Erivaldo Azevedo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Enio Arósio blasted a shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Erivaldo Azevedo having to make a save. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Percival Motta to make the kick off. 54 minutes into the game, Haroldo Nascimento was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Fao EC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Varjao SS the free kick. When the match had been going on for 56 minutes, Varjao SS's Vitório Mandrak got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Erivaldo Azevedo. If Edmundo Alagoano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 68 minutes into the match, Percival Motta had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of José Paulo Novaes. Varjao SS's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Percival Motta was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. When Fao EC's Percival Motta in the 73rd minute got a chance for a shot 73rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Varjao SS's goalie prevented a goal. After 80th play minutes Edmundo Alagoano shot 3-2, a short shot which went by José Paulo Novaes and just under the crossbar into goal. Ademar Cosme's late challenge caught a Fao EC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ademar Cosme helped the player get up and apologised. Ademar Cosme hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match. Percival Motta recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 93rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. José Paulo Novaes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edmundo Alagoano in the 93rd minute of the match. José Paulo Novaes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Percival Motta, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
