After having played for 22 minutes, Waldir Loureiro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Pennapolis's supporters crossed their fingers, but Waldir Loureiro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Miguel Almeida's late challenge caught a S.E Galo Vermelho's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Miguel Almeida helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Pennapolis getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Miguel Almeida hit a great ball. Yan Trancoso blasted a shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Belmiro Freire having to make a save. 33 minutes into the match, S.E Galo Vermelho's Adrianinho Soeiro sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Belmiro Freire narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Adrianinho Campidelis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 42 minutes, Dráusio Vargas mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the S.E Galo Vermelho and the Pennapolis players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 42 played minutes S.E Galo Vermelho got a freekick which was hit by Dráusio Vargas. Waldir Loureiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Régis Ceresso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Adrianinho Soeiro was the one to do the kick off. Adrianinho Soeiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Belmiro Freire having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 61 minutes, Cleiton Mazza took a quick shot and it went in 2-1 without a chance for Régis Ceresso to make any attempt to save it. Cleiton Mazzas short, quick shot in the 65thth minute got Régis Ceresso to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. S.E Galo Vermelho's Régis Ceresso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adrianinho Campidelis in the 68th minute of play. Adrianinho Campidelis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Régis Ceresso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Belmiro Freire made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Yan Trancoso in the 72nd minute of play. If Cleiton Mazza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Pennapolis's Belmiro Freire played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Yan Trancoso in the 77th minute of play. Pennapolis's Adrianinho Campidelis got a good chance for a goal in the 83rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to Pennapolis getting a freekick after 91 minutes play. Matheus Nogueira hit a great ball. Belmiro Freire took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Adrianinho Soeiro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. S.E Galo Vermelho's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
