Amadeu Cardozo made a fantastic save in the 4th minute, when Dito Bueno sent off a good shot on target. In the 7thth minute of the game Matías Furlan who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Várzea's Kauã Novaes was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After having played for 11 minutes, Jardel Hermes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Várzea's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jardel Hermes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jardel Hermes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Rodolfo Cabral came up free with the goalie in the 20th minute, the Marrinho SC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rodolfo Cabral couldn't finish the play. If Matías Furlan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kauã Novaes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Benjamim de Souza, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Marrinho SC's zone, Dito Bueno stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Amadeu Cardozo came out of the goal and Dito Bueno tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Dito Bueno struck a weak shot in the 38th minute. Amadeu Cardozo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Várzea. Amadeu Cardozo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jardel Hermes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 49 minutes in the game, Jardel Hermes fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Amadeu Cardozo having to interfere.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jardel Hermes made a kick off. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Geovanni Zanette during the 53rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Marrinho SC booed when Várzea was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Geovanni Zanette didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Benjamim de Souza got free with Kauã Novaes in the 57th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Matías Furlan in the 58th minute of play forced Várzea's goalkeeper Kauã Novaes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Várzea booed when Marrinho SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rodolfo Cabral didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jardel Hermes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Amadeu Cardozo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Raúl Pena's late challenge caught a Várzea's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Raúl Pena helped the player get up and apologised. In the 87th match minute, Marrinho SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Raúl Pena to maneuver through the defense. 90 minutes into the match, Marrinho SC's goal looked a bit too open when Dito Bueno came free, but Amadeu Cardozo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 91st minute Várzea were awarded a corner. Sílvio Luiz Paraibano went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Sílvio Luiz Paraibano got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Amadeu Cardozo quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Amadeu Cardozo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dito Bueno, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. A collision led to Marrinho SC getting a freekick after 96 minutes play. Carlos Augusto Ribeiro hit a great ball. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
