After 13 minutes, Lauro Sanches mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Moicanos Fc and the BATATA FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Moicanos Fc's Lauro Sanches got a free kick in the 13th minute. In the 14th match minute, BATATA FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jeferson Machado to maneuver through the defense. Maurinho Paraíba's late challenge caught a BATATA FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Maurinho Paraíba helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Moicanos Fc getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Maurinho Paraíba hit a great ball. Dionísio Miranda recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 19th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. BATATA FC's Humberto Maranhense played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lauro Sanches in the 21st minute of play. Haroldo Vieira kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. In the 25th play minute Jailson Loyola came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Humberto Maranhense. 1-2. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Pedro Paulo Leme to strike the kick off in the second half. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Lauro Guerra prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 94thth minute of the game Pedro Paulo Leme who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Moicanos Fc's Lauro Guerra was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 97th minute, Pedro Paulo Leme managed to get in a good position for a shot. BATATA FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Pedro Paulo Leme was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lauro Guerra breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. BATATA FC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
