The referee ignored Jordaozinho EC's protests and gave Acácio de Senna a yellow card for diving instead. After 5 played minutes Jordaozinho EC got a freekick which was hit by Acácio de Senna. Nilson Almeida took the ball and in the 8 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Enéas Tasso. Enéas Tasso dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. In the 20th minute Valdir Seco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Enéas Tasso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Enéas Tasso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Juvenal Dias in the 24th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Afonsinho Breckenfeld got free with Enéas Tasso in the 25th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 30th match minute, Jordaozinho EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lino Carneiro to maneuver through the defense. In the 32nd minute, Erivaldo Arósio fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Juvenal Dias received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Enéas Tasso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some careless play in the Jordaozinho EC defense, Erivaldo Arósio kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Enéas Tasso. The Jordaozinho EC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Enéas Tasso should have stopped the shot. 45 minutes into the match, Jordaozinho EC's goalkeeper Enéas Tasso had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Erivaldo Arósio. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

Enéas Tasso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Afonsinho Breckenfeld, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jordaozinho EC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. In the 65th minute Afonsinho Breckenfeld shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Enéas Tasso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
