Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Gildo Arruda started the match with the kick off. After 5 played minutes Oculto got a freekick which was hit by Franklin Tavares. In the 10th minute, Rogério Medeiros got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Rogério Medeiros might have been able to make a better finish in the 12th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Tony Luz. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Rogério Medeiros ran back to his position shaking his head. 22 minutes in the game, Joaquim Passos dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. In the 27th minute, Eurico Valadares ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gil Travassos was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Tony Luz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rogério Medeiros, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. Gildo Arruda's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gil Travassos read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 41st minute of play. With a little luck, Chapena's Gil Travassos got control of the ball when Denílson Marquez tried to sneak it across the goal line. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.
With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gildo Arruda in the 57th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gil Travassos saved Chapena from getting behind. After some careless play in the Oculto defense, Rogério Medeiros kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Tony Luz. The Oculto fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tony Luz should have stopped the shot. Rogério Medeiros fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tony Luz having to interfere. Joaquim Passos could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 70th minute of the match, but Tony Luz made a huge save. After some fancy dribbling in the 73rd minute, Joaquim Passos managed to get in a good position for a shot. Chapena's supporters rose to their feet, but Joaquim Passos was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tony Luz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Denílson Marquez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Oculto's Gildo Arruda got a free kick in the 83rd minute. In the 91st minute, Raimundo Paranaense hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Rogério Medeiros had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tony Luz made an important save on a dangerous shot by Joaquim Passos in the 97th minute.
