Vânderson Saldanha made an important save on a dangerous shot by Samuel Donatello in the 4th minute. After a rather tough play, Ubai FC's André Terra got a free kick in the 5th minute. When Neto's Juninho Marinho in the 7th minute got a chance for a shot 7th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Ubai FC's goalie prevented a goal. Reginaldo Carvalho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Adolfo da Silva hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. Samuel Donatello fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vânderson Saldanha having to interfere. An unexpected shot in the 16th minute by Samuel Donatello got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. After a defensive mix-up in Neto's zone, Reginaldo Carvalho stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Vânderson Saldanha came out of the goal and Reginaldo Carvalho tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 22nd match minute, Ubai FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Claudinho Pirani to maneuver through the defense. Vânderson Saldanha made a fantastic save in the 25th minute, when Samuel Donatello sent off a good shot on target. Vânderson Saldanha made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Reginaldo Carvalho in the 26th minute of play. 28 minutes into the game, Neto's Nelson Coelho nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Alessandro Toscano made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Reginaldo Carvalho in the 36th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Vânderson Saldanha prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 38th minute Juninho Marinho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alessandro Toscano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Samuel Donatello fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vânderson Saldanha having to interfere. Samuel Donatello who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 42ndth minute tested the skills of Vânderson Saldanha when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The supporters of Ubai FC booed when Neto was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adolfo da Silva didn't get a good kick on the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Juninho Marinho to make the kick off. Nelson Coelho could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 55th minute of the match, but Alessandro Toscano made a huge save. Vânderson Saldanha made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Reginaldo Carvalho in the 58th minute of play. After having played for 68 minutes, Juninho Marinho managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Neto's supporters crossed their fingers, but Juninho Marinho was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Juninho Marinho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 81st minute Reginaldo Carvalho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vânderson Saldanha saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Vânderson Saldanha came out of the goal in the 85th minute to try and stop a shot by Ubai FC's Reginaldo Carvalho. But to his dismay, Reginaldo Carvalho quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Alessandro Toscano was a little too slow when Adolfo da Silva got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 89th minute. The score was now 1-2. Rafa Neto kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match. Juninho Marinho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Alessandro Toscano made an important save on a dangerous shot by Nelson Coelho in the 96th minute.
