Philipp Munachi's late challenge caught a Ipuera AD's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Philipp Munachi helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Araguaya getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Philipp Munachi hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Toninho Damião in the 20th minute of play forced Ipuera AD's goalkeeper Sidnei Prado to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Ipuera AD's Gláuber Lago got a free kick in the 20th minute. If Toninho Damião had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Toninho Damião took the ball and in the 32 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Sidnei Prado. Sidnei Prado dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. After a rather tough play, Ipuera AD's Manfredo Novaes got a free kick in the 36th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Toninho Damião in the 68th minute of play forced Ipuera AD's goalkeeper Sidnei Prado to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Toninho Damião had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 72nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Ipuera AD's goalkeeper Sidnei Prado, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Beto Montenegro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 82nd match minute, Araguaya was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Philipp Munachi to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 83 minutes, Beto Montenegro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Araguaya's supporters crossed their fingers, but Beto Montenegro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Sidnei Prado showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Toninho Damião, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Toninho Damião in the 96th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Sidnei Prado saved Ipuera AD from getting behind. Araguaya's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
