Gilberto Pinho charged in rather forcefully in the 32nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gilberto Pinho the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Toninho Damião in the 38th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Edgar Machado prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Erik Paranaense showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nestor Vasconcelos in the 40th minute of the match. After some careless play in the Araguaya defense, Jacinto Pinheiro kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Erik Paranaense. The Araguaya fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Erik Paranaense should have stopped the shot. Erik Paranaense made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Téo Faustino in the 48th minute of play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Toninho Damião to strike the kick off in the second half. Anderson Melo thought of kicking away a contribution in front of goal but messed it up so badly that the ball went to the right of an astonished Edgar Machado, a very annoying self made goal in the 52nd minute which led to 1-2. In the 57th minute Toninho Damião shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edgar Machado saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 59th match minute, Araguaya was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edgar Paes to maneuver through the defense. Toninho Damião sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Francisco Viana came up free with the goalie in the 69th minute, the Araguaya fans jumped to their feet. Toninho Damião recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 72nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Nestor Vasconcelos kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. When Toninho Damião, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 83 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Edgar Machado was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Beto Montenegro struck a weak shot in the 88th minute. Edgar Machado didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Araguaya. After having played for 90 minutes, Toninho Damião managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Araguaya's supporters crossed their fingers, but Toninho Damião was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Duda Vidal kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Araguaya's Francisco Viana got a free kick in the 96th minute. The Triunio players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Araguaya from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
