Joaquim Carioca stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Amauri Tande's shot from short distance in the 3rd minute. In the 3rd match minute, Cadete FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kauã Alves to maneuver through the defense. Amauri Tande received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. Joaquim Carioca tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Joaquim Carioca showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Amauri Tande, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Amauri Tande in the 20th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Joaquim Carioca saved Cadete FC from getting behind. Waldir Romero fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joaquim Carioca having to interfere. If Walmir Galvão had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Cadete FC's zone, Amauri Tande stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Joaquim Carioca came out of the goal and Amauri Tande tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Amauri Tande fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joaquim Carioca having to interfere. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Amauri Tande was the one to do the kick off. Amauri Tande might have been able to make a better finish in the 54th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Joaquim Carioca. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Amauri Tande ran back to his position shaking his head. After 67 minutes of play, Inhata's Waldir Romero made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Joaquim Carioca was left in no man's land by his defense there! An unexpectedly hard shot by Walmir Galvão in the 82nd minute of play forced Inhata's goalkeeper Lauro Tavares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rony Rossi kicked well hit freekick during the 83rd minute of the match. In the 85th match minute, Cadete FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Maurinho Guimarães to maneuver through the defense. In the 92nd match minute, Cadete FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Maurinho Guimarães to maneuver through the defense.
