Gualter Baptista showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Raphael Britto in the 7th minute of the match. In the 11th minute Douglas Torres shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ivo Borges saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Marcelinho Arce's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ivo Borges was relentless in the 13th minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marcelinho Arce in the 14th minute of play forced Ibira SC's goalkeeper Ivo Borges to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Marcelinho Arce blasted a shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ivo Borges having to make a save. In the 28th minute, Deivid França hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gualter Baptista showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Raphael Britto, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. In the 32nd minute, Marcelinho Arce got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 35th minute, Hamílton Lucas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Douglas Torres fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ivo Borges having to interfere. Douglas Torres received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Ivo Borges tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ivo Borges showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Douglas Torres, who was totally free with the ball in the 48th minute.

An unexpected shot in the 53rd minute by Marcelinho Arce got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Ibira SC's Ivo Borges played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marcelinho Arce in the 55th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 59th minute, Roberto Pires managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ibira SC's supporters rose to their feet, but Roberto Pires was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gualter Baptista breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Deivid França kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. After 76 played minutes, Ibira SC's Túlio Arantes shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Gualter Baptista came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Ibira SC reached it. Deivid França hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. After having played for 81 minutes, Douglas Torres managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Piragiba SS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Douglas Torres was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 85th minute Roberto Pires shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gualter Baptista saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gualter Baptista showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Raphael Britto in the 86th minute of the match. If Roberto Pires had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ivo Borges took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marcelinho Arce, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
