The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a rather tough play, Futrica FC's Claudinho da Cunha got a free kick in the 4th minute. 7 minutes into the match, Roberto Pires had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Tomé Linhares. Futrica FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Roberto Pires was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Rony Cardoso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ivo Borges having to interfere. In the 12th minute, Edmílson da Fonseca fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Ivo Borges, passed just outside the right post. If Edmílson da Fonseca had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 28 minutes into the match, Ibira SC's goalkeeper Ivo Borges had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rony Cardoso. Raphael Britto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Tomé Linhares tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ivo Borges showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edmílson da Fonseca in the 36th minute of the match. After having played for 39 minutes, Roberto Pires managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ibira SC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Roberto Pires was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Tomé Linhares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Raphael Britto in the 40th minute of the match. A collision led to Futrica FC getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Cláudio Maciel hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Roberto Pires in the 47th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Tomé Linhares prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Raphael Britto made a kick off. When Ibira SC's Raphael Britto in the 54th minute got a chance for a shot 54th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The excitement rose when Ibira SC's Hamílton Lucas after 61 played minutes turned away three defenders near the goal, and after that shot a ball that was too difficult for Futrica FC's goalkeeper to hold. Score! 0-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Raphael Britto in the 64th minute of play forced Futrica FC's goalkeeper Tomé Linhares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 66 minutes into the match, Ibira SC's goal looked a bit too open when Rony Cardoso came free, but Ivo Borges reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ivo Borges made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rony Cardoso in the 77th minute of play. 79 minutes into the match, Rony Cardoso notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Ibira SC's Ivo Borges. Ivo Borges was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Germano Leite was shown his second yellow card after 84 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Germano Leite kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. Ibira SC's Ivo Borges played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rony Cardoso in the 88th minute of play.
