When Aírton Matorin fell near the penalty area in the 11th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Emparedado's protests and gave Aírton Matorin a yellow card for diving instead. Aírton Matorin kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. 12 minutes into the match, Grajahu's Benjamin de Barros broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Franklin Chaves struck a weak shot in the 17th minute. Clemente Brito didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Grajahu. The supporters of Grajahu booed when Emparedado was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. João Vítor Cosme didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wanderson Teles in the 21st minute of play forced Emparedado's goalkeeper Clemente Brito to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 26th minute, Emparedado's Luís Cavalcante dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. A collision led to Emparedado getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. José Sampaio hit a great ball. Emparedado's Clemente Brito played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Giuseppe Diniz in the 32nd minute of play. After having played for 33 minutes, Franklin Chaves managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Grajahu's supporters crossed their fingers, but Franklin Chaves was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 1-1 became the score in the 35th minute when Giuseppe Diniz elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. In the 39th minute the ball was on its way in behind Emparedado's goalkeeper Clemente Brito, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Franklin Chaves in the 40th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Clemente Brito prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Giuseppe Diniz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Clemente Brito tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Luís Cavalcante received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Fiori Borges tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Luís Cavalcante made a kick off. When Dida Melo came up free with the goalie in the 72nd minute, the Emparedado fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dida Melo couldn't finish the play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Luís Cavalcante in the 74th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Fiori Borges prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The audience thought a goal was coming when Wanderson Teles got free with Clemente Brito in the 76th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 84th minute Giuseppe Diniz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Clemente Brito saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Grajahu's Fiori Borges played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luís Cavalcante in the 90th minute of play. Dida Melo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Luís Cavalcante blasted a shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Fiori Borges having to make a save. Benjamin de Barros hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
