When Josué Monteiro fell near the penalty area in the 9th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ubai SS's protests and gave Josué Monteiro a yellow card for diving instead. Josué Monteiro hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. A collision led to Ubai SS getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Osvaldo Vianna hit a great ball. In the 12th minute Ernesto de Medeiros shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Beto de Queirós saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. João Pedro Fernandez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Beto de Queirós having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 16th minute, Ernesto de Medeiros managed to get in a good position for a shot. Recompensa FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Ernesto de Medeiros was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Beto de Queirós breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Recompensa FC's Álvaro Sá played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Murillo Pirani in the 19th minute of play. Álvaro Sá showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Walmir Monteiro, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. After a rather tough play, Recompensa FC's Diguinho Quadros got a free kick in the 26th minute. Álvaro Sá made an important save on a dangerous shot by Vítor Carneiro in the 27th minute. Murillo Pirani's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Álvaro Sá read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 30th minute of play. João Pedro Fernandez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 35th match minute, Ubai SS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Donatello Britto to maneuver through the defense. With a little luck, Recompensa FC's Álvaro Sá got control of the ball when Vítor Carneiro tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Murillo Pirani in the 41st minute of play forced Recompensa FC's goalkeeper Álvaro Sá to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Walmir Monteiro kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. Vítor Carneiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Álvaro Sá having to interfere. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Álvaro Sá showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Murillo Pirani, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. If Murillo Pirani had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Vítor Carneiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Álvaro Sá tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Álvaro Sá showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vítor Carneiro in the 70th minute of the match. João Pedro Fernandez came free with the goalkeeper in the 72nd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Beto de Queirós could save by the left post. Ernesto de Medeiros sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Beto de Queirós stood somewhat misplaced when João Pedro Fernandez came free in front of goal and shot 0-1 to the left of him in the 77 minute. In the 81st match minute, Recompensa FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Diguinho Quadros to maneuver through the defense. Murillo Pirani struck a weak shot in the 82nd minute. Álvaro Sá didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ubai SS. Murillo Pirani sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Murillo Pirani in the 93rd minute of play forced Recompensa FC's goalkeeper Álvaro Sá to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ernesto de Medeiros recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 97th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Recompensa FC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
