After 17 minutes, Lauro Viana mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the renaux and the Itapua players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, renaux's Lauro Viana got a free kick in the 17th minute. In the 19thth minute of the game Antônio Lago who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but renaux's Sandrinho Catarinense was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Antônio Lago fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sandrinho Catarinense having to interfere. In the 22nd match minute, renaux was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Durval Teles to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Afonsinho Sá in the 24th minute of play forced renaux's goalkeeper Sandrinho Catarinense to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 25th minute, renaux's Allan Romero ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Romeu Terra. Romeu Terra yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. After a rather tough play, renaux's Allan Romero got a free kick in the 27th minute. When Antônio Lago, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 29 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Sandrinho Catarinense was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Baltazar Dias received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Romeu Terra came out and tried to block the shot, but Baltazar Dias slotted it home off the left post making it 3-1 in the 35th minute. Allan Romero who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 39thth minute tested the skills of Romeu Terra when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 40th minute, Allan Romero got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Sandrinho Catarinense showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Afonsinho Sá in the 46th minute of the match.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Allan Romero to strike the kick off in the second half. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Allan Romero in the 52nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Romeu Terra saved Itapua from getting behind. 53 minutes into the match, Itapua's goal looked a bit too open when Durval Teles came free, but Romeu Terra reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Allan Romero's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Romeu Terra was relentless in the 54th minute of the game. After a defensive mix-up in Itapua's zone, Lauro Viana stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Romeu Terra came out of the goal and Lauro Viana tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Romeu Terra didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Allan Romero went, in the 58th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-1 was the resulting score. After 61 minutes, Diogo Cunha mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the renaux and the Itapua players grew even worse after the yellow card. Romeu Terra showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Allan Romero in the 64th minute of the match. Betão Mendonça lost his temper 65 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. In the 65th minute, one of Itapua:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Itapua. In the 71st minute, Baltazar Dias got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Afonsinho Sá hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. After 73 played minutes, renaux's Durval Teles shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Romeu Terra came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in renaux reached it. If Durval Teles had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Allan Romero fell near the penalty area in the 80th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored renaux's protests and gave Allan Romero a yellow card for diving instead. If Allan Romero had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Durval Teles sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Romeu Terra showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Allan Romero, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Allan Romero in the 95th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Romeu Terra prevented the ball from getting in the gole. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. renaux had played much better football throughout.
