Ivo Paes hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. 12 minutes into the game, Cléberson Leão cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Edinho Luz was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Edinho Luz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lenílson de Salles in the 18th minute of play. Falcão Aparecido showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fiori Santos in the 22nd minute of the match. Cléberson Leão sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Edinho Luz came out of the goal in the 26th minute to try and stop a shot by Himalaia AD's Cléberson Leão. But to his dismay, Cléberson Leão quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. João Abreu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Falcão Aparecido having to interfere. After 32 played minutes Himalaia AD got a freekick which was hit by Sebastião de Godoi. In the 35th minute Cléberson Leão shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edinho Luz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lenílson de Salles spun around in front of the goal 44 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of Marari SS's goal. If Cléberson Leão had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After the first half Himalaia AD were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Cléberson Leão made a kick off. When Himalaia AD's Cléberson Leão in the 51st minute got a chance for a shot 51st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Marari SS's goalie prevented a goal. Ramón de Godoi charged in rather forcefully in the 58th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ramón de Godoi the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Himalaia AD's Ramón de Godoi got a free kick in the 58th minute. A collision led to Himalaia AD getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Murilo Romero hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 61st minute, Gildo Ribeiro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Marari SS's supporters rose to their feet, but Gildo Ribeiro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Falcão Aparecido breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Cléberson Leão received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Edinho Luz came out and tried to block the shot, but Cléberson Leão slotted it home off the left post making it 0-4 in the 66th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Lenílson de Salles got free with Edinho Luz in the 72nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. João Abreu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Falcão Aparecido having to interfere. Lenílson de Salles could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 78th minute of the match, but Edinho Luz made a huge save. A collision led to Marari SS getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Gildo Pimenta hit a great ball. In the 81st minute of the match Gilvan Gerber shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Edinho Luz showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Himalaia AD's Cléberson Leão slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Edinho Luz. That made the score 0-5 after 83 minutes of play. Cléberson Leão sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 95 played minutes Marari SS got a freekick which was hit by Gildo Pimenta. Cléberson Leão struck a weak shot in the 96th minute. Edinho Luz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Himalaia AD. The Marari SS fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Himalaia AD were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
