Hortêncio Vianna hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. 13 minutes into the game, Olívio Arruda cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Eusébio Galvão was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 20 minutes in the game, Nuno de Medeiros fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Eusébio Galvão having to interfere. Olívio Arruda fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eusébio Galvão having to interfere. After 23 played minutes Leudo Fultebol Clube got a freekick which was hit by Nuno de Medeiros. 24 minutes into the game, Olívio Arruda cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Eusébio Galvão was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 28th minute Nuno de Medeiros shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eusébio Galvão saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 33 minutes into the match, Chiquinho de Mendonça notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Leudo Fultebol Clube's Benedito Moreira. Benedito Moreira was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Jaime Diniz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cernambi AD's Chiquinho de Mendonça got a good chance for a goal in the 41st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Nuno de Medeiros to strike the kick off in the second half. When Chiquinho de Mendonça came up free with the goalie in the 55th minute, the Cernambi AD fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Chiquinho de Mendonça couldn't finish the play. After having played for 58 minutes, Jaime Diniz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cernambi AD's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jaime Diniz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 61 played minutes Cernambi AD got a freekick which was hit by Chiquinho de Mendonça. Chiquinho de Mendonça was extremely unlucky when he, in the 66th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. In the 69th minute Cernambi AD were awarded a corner. Edvaldo Correia went to the cornerflag to take it. It was a well-played corner which Maurinho Monteiro managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Olívio Arruda received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Eusébio Galvão tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nuno de Medeiros sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nuno de Medeiros in the 78th minute of play forced Cernambi AD's goalkeeper Eusébio Galvão to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 81 minutes, Nuno de Medeiros made it 3-1 with a short kick to the right side. Cernambi AD's Eusébio Galvão tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. If Nuno de Medeiros had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
