The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Angelo Cabral could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 16th minute of the match, but Eusébio Galvão made a huge save. A collision led to Guairaca getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Ian Mesquita hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Chiquinho de Mendonça in the 21st minute of play forced Guairaca's goalkeeper Horácio Ramos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 28th minute, Guairaca's Angelo Cabral ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Eusébio Galvão. Eusébio Galvão yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-1. Thanks to some nice moves Angelo Cabral could shoot a difficult shot in the 33rd minute, which Eusébio Galvão however easily saved by the left post. After a defensive mix-up in Cernambi AD's zone, Angelo Cabral stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eusébio Galvão came out of the goal and Angelo Cabral tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.

The wind increased when Angelo Cabral made the kick off in the second half. Angelo Cabral fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eusébio Galvão having to interfere. Nando Vides sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 67 minutes, Angelo Cabral managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Guairaca's supporters crossed their fingers, but Angelo Cabral was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 72 minutes into the match, Angelo Cabral had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Eusébio Galvão. Cernambi AD's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Angelo Cabral was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. In the 78th minute of the match, Jaime Diniz got a very nice opportunity to score, but Horácio Ramos was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. After a defensive mix-up in Guairaca's zone, Jaime Diniz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Horácio Ramos came out of the goal and Jaime Diniz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Nando Vides struck a weak shot in the 85th minute. Eusébio Galvão didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Guairaca. In the 89th minute Kauã Lago shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eusébio Galvão saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Cernambi AD's Chiquinho de Mendonça got a free kick in the 90th minute. Eusébio Galvão showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Angelo Cabral in the 94th minute of the match. Guairaca were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing Cernambi AD to leave the ground with a draw.
