When Betinho Cosme, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 4 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Wilian Loyola was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cássio Mazza in the 6th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Didi de Souza saved E.c.correas from getting behind. In the 7th minute, Geovanni Messias hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 13th match minute, AE Araruamense was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sandrinho Amorim to maneuver through the defense. 15 minutes into the match, AE Araruamense's goal looked a bit too open when João Salles came free, but Wilian Loyola reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 18th minute Betinho Cosme shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wilian Loyola saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Didi de Souza made an important save on a dangerous shot by Vladimir Esteves in the 19th minute. Vladimir Esteves sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When AE Araruamense's Cássio Mazza in the 25th minute got a chance for a shot 25th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye E.c.correas's goalie prevented a goal. João Salles fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wilian Loyola having to interfere. A collision led to AE Araruamense getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Pedro Paulo Guedes hit a great ball. 41 minutes into the match, AE Araruamense's goal looked a bit too open when João Salles came free, but Wilian Loyola reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Wilian Loyola showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from João Salles, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. Betinho Cosme struck a weak shot in the 46th minute. Wilian Loyola didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for E.c.correas. An unexpectedly hard shot by Raphael Capixaba in the 49th minute of play forced AE Araruamense's goalkeeper Wilian Loyola to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Cássio Mazza to make the kick off. In the 54th minute, Betinho Cosme ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Wilian Loyola was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. The supporters of E.c.correas booed when AE Araruamense was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cássio Mazza didn't get a good kick on the ball. 69 minutes into the game, AE Araruamense's Vladimir Esteves nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Didi de Souza made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. A collision led to E.c.correas getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Diogo Sampaio hit a great ball. After having played for 75 minutes, Cássio Mazza managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. AE Araruamense's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cássio Mazza was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Hernani Carioca had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 85th minute, Betinho Cosme reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Wilian Loyola. The goal made the score 1-3. 88 minutes into the match, E.c.correas's João Salles sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Wilian Loyola narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Wilian Loyola made a fantastic save in the 90th minute, when João Salles sent off a good shot on target. Betinho Cosme received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Wilian Loyola tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Vladimir Esteves recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 95th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of AE Araruamense booed when E.c.correas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Raphael Capixaba didn't get a good kick on the ball. The E.c.correas supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing E.c.correas would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
