The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Cristiano França during the 11th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 11 played minutes Carapanatuba FC got a freekick which was hit by Cristiano França. When Geraldo Ferreira fell near the penalty area in the 14th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Jaqueira EC's protests and gave Geraldo Ferreira a yellow card for diving instead. Geraldo Ferreira kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. Léo Trancoso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Geovânio Penha in the 17th minute of the match. In the 22nd minute, Albertinho Mandrak got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Roi Valverde had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Geovânio Penha in the 25th minute of play forced Carapanatuba FC's goalkeeper Léo Trancoso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Geovânio Penha made a kick off. A collision led to Carapanatuba FC getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Basílio Amorim hit a great ball. In the 55th minute, Gino Nascimento got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Roi Valverde recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 57th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Roi Valverde sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 61 minutes into the match, Carapanatuba FC's goalkeeper Léo Trancoso had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Nicolas Santana.
