Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Jaqueira EC's Geovânio Penha started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. If Betinho Cosme had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 2nd minute. The Jaqueira EC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gino Santos should have stopped the shot. After a defensive mix-up in Jaqueira EC's zone, João Salles stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gino Santos came out of the goal and João Salles tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Betinho Cosme had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Betinho Cosme received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Gino Santos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Jaqueira EC's zone, João Salles stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gino Santos came out of the goal and João Salles tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Raphael Capixaba hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. Geovânio Penha's late challenge caught a E.c.correas's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Geovânio Penha helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Jaqueira EC's Geovânio Penha got a free kick in the 22nd minute. After 27 played minutes E.c.correas got a freekick which was hit by Raphael Capixaba. When Betinho Cosme, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 32 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Gino Santos was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Jaqueira EC's Gino Santos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Raphael Capixaba in the 39th minute of play. After 40 played minutes E.c.correas got a freekick which was hit by Raphael Capixaba. Geovânio Penha received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Didi de Souza tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Jaqueira EC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
