The audience thought a goal was coming when Rafa de Azevedo got free with Teodoro Leal in the 6th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Digo Travassos hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. A hard shot 10 in the game by Rafa de Azevedo from a close distance when the talented Teodoro Leal managed to make a qualified save. Gancho's players were relieved. In the 11th minute Adriano Queirós shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Iuri Cunha saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Orlando Freitas in the 19th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Teodoro Leal prevented the ball from getting in the gole. César Varela sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Adriano Queirós in the 25th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Iuri Cunha saved Clevlandia from getting behind. Clevlandia's Iuri Cunha played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adriano Queirós in the 27th minute of play. Teodoro Leal showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Orlando Freitas, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. Rafa de Azevedo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Clevlandia's Guga de Moraes got a free kick in the 39th minute. Rafa de Azevedo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Teodoro Leal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Orlando Freitas was the one to do the kick off. Teodoro Leal stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Orlando Freitas's shot from short distance in the 55th minute. César Varela in the 61stth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Iuri Cunha, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rafa de Azevedo couldn't finish the play. In the 77th match minute, Gancho was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Natã Gerber to maneuver through the defense. The audience was convinced that Rafa de Azevedo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Teodoro Leal was relentless in the 79th minute of the game. Teodoro Leal breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Rafa de Azevedo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Despite being the better team, Clevlandia failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
