Edmundo Mazza made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. When Almir Catarinense fell near the penalty area in the 11th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Principes do Morro FC's protests and gave Almir Catarinense a yellow card for diving instead. Antônio Varela showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Walter Carlsson in the 13th minute of the match. Antônio Varela made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Walter Carlsson in the 14th minute of play. Edmundo Mazza made a fantastic save in the 16th minute, when Bruninho Paraibano sent off a good shot on target. Antônio Varela came out of the goal in the 18th minute to try and stop a shot by Aparicio SS's Mathias Axelsson. But to his dismay, Mathias Axelsson quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Edmundo Mazza made an important save on a dangerous shot by Diogo de Sousa in the 21st minute. Antônio Varela made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Walter Carlsson in the 25th minute of play. Walter Carlsson's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Antônio Varela read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 27th minute of play. When the match had gone on for 29 minutes, Walter Carlsson put it in 1-2 from a short distance just to the right of Antônio Varela. After some fancy dribbling in the 32nd minute, Mathias Axelsson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Aparicio SS's supporters rose to their feet, but Mathias Axelsson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Antônio Varela breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Antônio Varela didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Aparicio SS's Walter Carlsson shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 1-3 in the ordered_time% minute. After a defensive mix-up in Principes do Morro FC's zone, Fernando Arruda stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Antônio Varela came out of the goal and Fernando Arruda tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience was convinced that Walter Carlsson's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Antônio Varela was relentless in the 46th minute of the game. Antônio Varela showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fernando Arruda in the 47th minute of the match. The Principes do Morro FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Aparicio SS were winning 1-3.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Walter Carlsson made a kick off. Aparicio SS's Edmundo Mazza played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Almir Catarinense in the 53rd minute of play. Antônio Varela was out of position in the 55 minute of play, and Walter Carlsson capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Walter Carlsson really showed his touch with that goal: 1-4. In the 62nd minute Diogo de Sousa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edmundo Mazza saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 63 minutes, Walter Carlsson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Aparicio SS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Walter Carlsson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Mathias Axelsson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 64th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 65 minutes, Walter Carlsson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Aparicio SS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Walter Carlsson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Fernando Arruda had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Edmundo Mazza showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Almir Catarinense in the 71st minute of the match. Bruninho Paraibano hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. Walter Carlsson's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 73rdth minute, Antônio Varela skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. 75 minutes into the game, Walter Carlsson recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Antônio Varela. Walter Carlsson showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-5. A hard shot 79 in the game by Walter Carlsson from a close distance when the talented Antônio Varela managed to make a qualified save. Principes do Morro FC's players were relieved. After 81 minutes, Eliézer Borges mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Principes do Morro FC and the Aparicio SS players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Principes do Morro FC's Eliézer Borges got a free kick in the 81st minute. The Aparicio SS fans' excitement grew in the 86th match minute when Aparicio SS's Walter Carlsson looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-6 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Antônio Varela showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Walter Carlsson, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. When the match was over Aparicio SS could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Principes do Morro FC throughout the match.
