To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ricardo Maia charged in rather forcefully in the 20th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Dagoberto Arruda who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 31stth minute tested the skills of Yan Vale when he managed to save the team from getting behind. If Téo Mineiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 98th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Roque FC had won after a very even match.
