In the 21st minute the ball was on its way in behind Jupy EC's goalkeeper César de Almeida, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 22 minutes into the game, João Augusto Simões was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Jupy EC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Fomento the free kick. The supporters of Fomento booed when Jupy EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. João Augusto Simões didn't get a good kick on the ball. Pedro Augusto Jacinto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience was convinced that Pedro Augusto Jacinto's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but César de Almeida was relentless in the 32nd minute of the game. Leopoldo Koehler made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Chiquinho Vidal in the 35th minute of play. Luiz Fernando Lira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Leopoldo Koehler dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. Charles Correia hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. Luiz Fernando Lira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mário Maranhense recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 88th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. José Carlos Arósio kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. The audience held their breath when Marcinho Trancoso in the 95th minute of the game managed to trick the opponents defenses and fired away a shot outside the goal on the César de Almeida's left hand side. Jupy EC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Fomento for a fine match.
