When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Pedro Augusto Jacinto made a kick off. 51 minutes into the match, Fomento's goalkeeper Leopoldo Koehler had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ernesto Dante. Toninho Saldanha kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. Luiz Fernando Lira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luiz Fabiano Silveira having to interfere.
