In the 4th match minute, Tariana was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tiago Mattos to maneuver through the defense. After recieving a nice pass, Modesto's Vicente de Mendonça tried to score from far away in the 5th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Valdomiro Diniz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Thomás Baptista tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thomás Baptista showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from William Torres, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. If Valdomiro Diniz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Vito Nunes stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Thomás Baptista showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from William Torres, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. When Vito Nunes fell near the penalty area in the 95th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Tariana's protests and gave Vito Nunes a yellow card for diving instead. Vito Nunes kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match.
