Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Tijucas's Jonas Mello started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Alberto Arruda fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zé Paulo Gonçalves having to interfere. Zé Paulo Gonçalves showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alberto Arruda, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. Hamílton Vides recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 20th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 22 minutes into the match, Tijucas's goal looked a bit too open when Hamílton Vides came free, but Zé Paulo Gonçalves reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Tijucas getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Norberto Mattos hit a great ball. Américo Pinheiro charged in rather forcefully in the 29th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Américo Pinheiro the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 29 played minutes Tijucas got a freekick which was hit by Américo Pinheiro. After 31 minutes, Alessandro Meira mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Tijucas and the Louveira EC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Alessandro Meira kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. In the 32nd minute, Mário Dionísio sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Tijucas's Zé Paulo Gonçalves didn't even have to move. 33 minutes into the game, Carlos Augusto Botelho was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Louveira EC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Tijucas the free kick. A collision led to Louveira EC getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Dito Neves hit a great ball. Zé Paulo Gonçalves showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alberto Arruda in the 41st minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Tijucas's zone, Dito Neves stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Zé Paulo Gonçalves came out of the goal and Dito Neves tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Hamílton Vides received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Zé Paulo Gonçalves tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Tijucas players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Louveira EC were winning 0-1.
The wind increased when Alberto Arruda made the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the match, Louveira EC's goal looked a bit too open when Alessandro Meira came free, but Renatinho Catarinense reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Tijucas booed when Louveira EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dito Neves didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jonas Mello received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Tijucas's supporters crossed their fingers, but Silas Penha was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jonas Mello fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Renatinho Catarinense having to interfere. In the 70th minute Jonas Mello shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Renatinho Catarinense saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 76th minute, Dito Neves left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Louveira EC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Jonas Mello recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 96th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When the match was over Louveira EC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Tijucas throughout the match.
