In the 4th match minute, Altaneira FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Armindo Vidal to maneuver through the defense. When the match had gone on for 5 minutes, Júnior Borges put it in 1-0 from a short distance just to the right of Vivaldo Netto. Vivaldo Netto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Júnior Borges, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 18 minutes into the match, Altaneira FC's goal looked a bit too open when Júnior Borges came free, but Vivaldo Netto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Altaneira FC's Vivaldo Netto proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 24th minute of the match, managed to save Altaneira FC from getting a goal against them. In the 24th minute, Cristian Pontes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Vivaldo Netto made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ronaldão Bueno in the 27th minute. Délio Cabral hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. Vivaldo Netto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Júnior Borges in the 44th minute of play. When André Machado came up free with the goalie in the 48th minute, the Altaneira FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that André Machado couldn't finish the play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell André Machado to make the kick off. If André Machado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Altaneira FC's Vivaldo Netto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Júnior Borges in the 56th minute of play. Ricardinho Prestes's late challenge caught a Jandaira AD's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ricardinho Prestes helped the player get up and apologised. Ricardinho Prestes kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. In the 62nd match minute, Altaneira FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ricardinho Prestes to maneuver through the defense. André Machado struck a weak shot in the 64th minute. Bruno Hoffmann didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Altaneira FC. Gerard Kompany kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. After having played for 68 minutes, Rodolfo Linares managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Altaneira FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rodolfo Linares was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the match had gone on for 71 minutes, Júnior Borges put it in 2-0 from a short distance just to the right of Vivaldo Netto. André Machado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bruno Hoffmann having to interfere. Júnior Borges scored 3-0 in the 86th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Vivaldo Netto, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ronaldão Bueno in the 90th minute of play forced Altaneira FC's goalkeeper Vivaldo Netto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Vivaldo Netto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Júnior Borges, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rodolfo Linares sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
