Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Benjamim Romero started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Sapateiro's Marcos Lima got a good chance for a goal in the 5th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 9 played minutes Sapateiro got a freekick which was hit by Teodoro Moraes. 16 minutes into the match, Sapateiro's Valdemar Maciel sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Benedito Velasco narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 23 minutes into the match, Coringa FC's goal looked a bit too open when Valdemar Maciel came free, but Benedito Velasco reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 27th match minute, Sapateiro was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Valdemar Maciel to maneuver through the defense. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Benjamim Romero in the 28th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Glauco Xavier saved Sapateiro from getting behind. Vânderson Marquez recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 32nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Benjamim Romero had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 35th minute Valdemar Maciel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benedito Velasco saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Marcos Lima sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Marcos Lima had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 43rd minute, André Moura managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sapateiro's supporters rose to their feet, but André Moura was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Benedito Velasco breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Vânderson Marquez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Glauco Xavier tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

With a little luck, Sapateiro's Glauco Xavier got control of the ball when Vânderson Marquez tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 53 minutes, Paulo Paraense mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Sapateiro and the Coringa FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 53 played minutes Sapateiro got a freekick which was hit by Paulo Paraense. Glauco Xavier made a fantastic save in the 56th minute, when Vânderson Marquez sent off a good shot on target. 59 minutes into the match, Paulo Paraense had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Benedito Velasco. Coringa FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Paulo Paraense was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. The supporters of Coringa FC booed when Sapateiro was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Teodoro Moraes didn't get a good kick on the ball. 72 minutes into the match, Sapateiro's Marcos Lima sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Benedito Velasco narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The supporters of Sapateiro booed when Coringa FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rogério Pitta didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Sapateiro's Marcos Lima in the 87th minute got a chance for a shot 87th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Coringa FC's goalie prevented a goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Vânderson Marquez got free with Glauco Xavier in the 89th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After having played for 90 minutes, Vânderson Marquez managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Coringa FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Vânderson Marquez was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 95 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Sapateiro! The goalkeeper, Glauco Xavier, was totally fooled by Coringa FC's Kléberson Vidal, who 97 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Sapateiro fans cheered their team off the field, for while Coringa FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
