In the 9th minute, Christian Passos ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Amadeu da Silveira was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Gilberto Tande sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Amadeu da Silveira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gilberto Tande, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. Osvaldo de Barros made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luizinho Arósio in the 28th minute of play. In the 31st minute, Hepatus FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Luizinho Arósio fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. In the 34th minute the ball was on its way in behind Hepatus FC's goalkeeper Osvaldo de Barros, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Christian Passos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Amadeu da Silveira having to interfere. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gilberto Tande to make the kick off. A hard shot 57 in the game by Christian Passos from a close distance when the talented Amadeu da Silveira managed to make a qualified save. Alfredo Cordeiro, 64 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. After 69 played minutes, Basuca's Luiz Guilherme Zanette shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Osvaldo de Barros came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. Hepatus FC's Osvaldo de Barros played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luizinho Arósio in the 78th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Luizinho Arósio's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Osvaldo de Barros was relentless in the 79th minute of the game. When Jairo Matorin came up free with the goalie in the 82nd minute, the Basuca fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jairo Matorin couldn't finish the play. In the 85th minute, Gilberto Tande got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Elder Cabral took the ball and in the 88 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Osvaldo de Barros. Osvaldo de Barros dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-3. Jairo Matorin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Osvaldo de Barros having to interfere. Jairo Matorin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 98th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Basuca supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Hepatus FC's performance. The match ended with a win for Hepatus FC.
