Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Dorian de Queirós got the match started through his kick off. Olívio Pombal blasted a shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Osvaldo de Barros having to make a save. Osvaldo de Barros took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dorian de Queirós, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Olívio Pombal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Osvaldo de Barros tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 15th minute, Hepatus FC's Gilberto Tande ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Márcio Hames. Márcio Hames yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. After 30 played minutes Sambaia EC got a freekick which was hit by Kléberson Romero. Christian Passos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 32nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 37 minutes into the game, Oswaldo Soares was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Sambaia EC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Hepatus FC the free kick. In the 37th match minute, Sambaia EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Oswaldo Soares to maneuver through the defense. 47 minutes in the game, Gilberto Tande fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Márcio Hames having to interfere. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Gilberto Tande to strike the kick off in the second half. Márcio Hames made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gilberto Tande in the 54th minute of play. In the 71st match minute, Sambaia EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Emílio Pernambucano to maneuver through the defense. In the 72nd minute, Emílio Pernambucano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Márcio Hames showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gilberto Tande, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. Oswaldo Soares was shown his second yellow card after 84 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. After 85 played minutes, Hepatus FC's Alfredo Cordeiro shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Márcio Hames came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Hepatus FC reached it. Kléberson Romero's late challenge caught a Hepatus FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Kléberson Romero helped the player get up and apologised. In the 90th match minute, Sambaia EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Emílio Pernambucano to maneuver through the defense. Sambaia EC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
