If Naldo Paulista had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Naldo Paulista in the 11th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gernando Gomes saved Goes FC from getting behind. Marquinhos Leite showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Glauco Vergílio in the 18th minute of the match. If Glauco Vergílio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 23 played minutes Camboriu got a freekick which was hit by Nuno Guedes. After 25 minutes of play, Goes FC's Abelardo Félix made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Marquinhos Leite was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 31st minute Glauco Vergílio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marquinhos Leite saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Camboriu defense, Glauco Vergílio kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Marquinhos Leite. The Camboriu fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Marquinhos Leite should have stopped the shot. 37 minutes had been played when some careless play by Goes FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Luís Guilherme Mendes was slow to take the kick. During this time Camboriu's players had a chance to rest. Camboriu's Luís Guilherme Mendes was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Gernando Gomes in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Gernando Gomes stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Naldo Paulista's shot from short distance in the 39th minute. 41 minutes into the game, Nuno Guedes recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Gernando Gomes. Nuno Guedes showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-2. Edson Hermes succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 2-2 in the 47th playminute. The first half was very even, with the score at 2-2 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Glauco Vergílio was the one to do the kick off. In the 54thth minute of the game Edson Hermes who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Goes FC's Gernando Gomes was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Edson Hermes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Gernando Gomes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Glauco Vergílio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Naldo Paulista had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
