Aluísio Trigo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 8th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Conrado Ceresso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aluísio Trigo in the 14th minute of play. The supporters of Santissimo FC booed when Cajueirinho SS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eduardo Matorin didn't get a good kick on the ball. Conrado Ceresso made an important save on a dangerous shot by Giuseppe Vieira in the 24th minute. When the match had gone on for 27 minutes, Nelsinho de Brito put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of César Lopes. If Aluísio Trigo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Giuseppe Vieira might have been able to make a better finish in the 34th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Conrado Ceresso. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Giuseppe Vieira ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 40th minute Aluísio Trigo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Conrado Ceresso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

The wind increased when Nelsinho de Brito made the kick off in the second half. Nelsinho de Brito sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 57th minute Nelsinho de Brito shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but César Lopes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Giuseppe Vieira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Aluísio Trigo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nelsinho de Brito in the 69th minute of play forced Cajueirinho SS's goalkeeper César Lopes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A hard shot 83 in the game by Perivaldo Rossi from a close distance when the talented César Lopes managed to make a qualified save. Cajueirinho SS's players were relieved. César Lopes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nelsinho de Brito in the 84th minute of the match. Giuseppe Vieira scored 1-1 in the 90th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Conrado Ceresso, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
