The supporters of Ajaru Football Club booed when SÃO PAULO F.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Glauco Baiano didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jerônimo Melo got free with Oswaldo de Salles in the 23rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. João Augusto Vasconcelos kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. 32 minutes into the game, Jerônimo Melo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Oswaldo de Salles was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Délio de Amaral received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Oswaldo de Salles stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Délio de Amaral's shot from short distance in the 57th minute. Délio de Amaral sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Délio de Amaral recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 63rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Juvenal Aparecido fell near the penalty area in the 68th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ajaru Football Club's protests and gave Juvenal Aparecido a yellow card for diving instead. In the 71st minute, SÃO PAULO F.C got a penalty, and Luizão Saldanha placed the ball unsaveable into goal, by the right post. Alan de Senna sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 79thth minute of the game Jerônimo Melo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but SÃO PAULO F.C's Oswaldo de Salles was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Alan de Senna fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Oswaldo de Salles having to interfere. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Ajaru Football Club players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
