Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Luiz Eduardo Carvalho kicked off to start the match. Pedro Luiz Massas short, quick shot in the 3rdth minute got Geovanni Salgado to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 6 minutes into the game, Alfredão Dionísio was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Balaiada's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ferruginha FC the free kick. After 6 played minutes Balaiada got a freekick which was hit by Alfredão Dionísio. Jailson Costa kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. In the 11th minute, Luiz Eduardo Carvalho ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Elano Lira was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. After 15 played minutes Balaiada got a freekick which was hit by Luiz Eduardo Carvalho. In the 20th minute, Jairo Neves got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 22 minutes into the match, Balaiada's goalkeeper Geovanni Salgado had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Pedro Luiz Massa. In the 27th minute, Jairo Neves ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Elano Lira was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Luiz Eduardo Carvalho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Elano Lira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Elano Lira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luiz Eduardo Carvalho in the 36th minute of play. If Jairo Neves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Pedro Luiz Massa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 46th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for André Luiz Rosa to strike the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pedro Luiz Massa in the 52nd minute of play forced Balaiada's goalkeeper Geovanni Salgado to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Marcinho Terra's late challenge caught a Ferruginha FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Marcinho Terra helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Balaiada's Marcinho Terra got a free kick in the 53rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luiz Eduardo Carvalho in the 57th minute of play forced Ferruginha FC's goalkeeper Elano Lira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 57th match minute, Ferruginha FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Josué Quirino to maneuver through the defense. When Jailson Costa fell near the penalty area in the 63rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Balaiada's protests and gave Jailson Costa a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Balaiada getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Jailson Costa hit a great ball. After 66 minutes Balaiada's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Alessandro Rodrigues who took care of the corner kick. When the match had gone on for 67 minutes, Luiz Eduardo Carvalho took a quick shot and it went in 0-3 without a chance for Elano Lira to make any attempt to save it. Balaiada's Alfredão Dionísio got his second yellow card of the match in the 70th minute. The referee ordered Alfredão Dionísio off the ground. After a rather tough play, Balaiada's Alfredão Dionísio got a free kick in the 71st minute. Pedro Luiz Massa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Geovanni Salgado having to interfere. With his leg Elano Lira managed to avoid a goal in the 76thth minute, when Balaiada's Jairo Neves fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Jairo Neves struck a weak shot in the 85th minute. Elano Lira didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Balaiada. In the 93rd minute, Pedro Luiz Massa made a precise shot to the right of Geovanni Salgado. Balaiada's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-3. Balaiada played a much better game than Ferruginha FC and deserved their victory. The Ferruginha FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
