With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cícero Zanette prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Navalha SC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Bernardinho Pinheiro in the 8th minute. Bernardinho Pinheiro made a great header on Navalha SC's corner, it was just that Capinzal SS's Cícero Zanette managed to reach the ball for a save. Luís Guilherme Viana hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Valdomiro Barros got free with Aílton Félix in the 32nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Cláudio Arósio hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. Through an outstanding action, after 76 minutes, Cícero Zanette successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. If Henrique Marquez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 83rd match minute, Capinzal SS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Oswaldo dos Santos to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Capinzal SS getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. David Nóbrega hit a great ball. Navalha SC's Bernardinho Pinheiro shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 86th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Cícero Zanette but with some difficulty. An unexpectedly hard shot by Valdomiro Barros in the 94th minute of play forced Navalha SC's goalkeeper Aílton Félix to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 95th minute, Régis de Senna managed to get in a good position for a shot. Capinzal SS's supporters rose to their feet, but Régis de Senna was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Aílton Félix breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Navalha SC's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
