Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) When Romário de Carvalho fell near the penalty area in the 3rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Rasgao SC's protests and gave Romário de Carvalho a yellow card for diving instead. Silvinho Vergílio took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 6th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Carlinhos Barros. Rasgao SC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. João Abreu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Carlinhos Barros tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ediberto Branco kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. Roberto de Mendonça made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alfredo Arósio in the 22nd minute of play. João Abreu charged in rather forcefully in the 24th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed João Abreu the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 24th match minute, Iraty Sport Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by João Abreu to maneuver through the defense. João Abreu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a little luck, Iraty Sport Club's Roberto de Mendonça got control of the ball when Perivaldo Matos tried to sneak it across the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 30th minute, Christiano Abraão managed to get in a good position for a shot. Iraty Sport Club's supporters rose to their feet, but Christiano Abraão was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Carlinhos Barros breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 32nd minute, João Abreu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Perivaldo Matos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Alfredo Arósio came up free with the goalie in the 39th minute, the Rasgao SC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alfredo Arósio couldn't finish the play. Perivaldo Matos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Alfredo Arósio recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 43rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Alfredo Arósio to strike the kick off in the second half. Arthur de Sena hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. João Abreu struck a weak shot in the 55th minute. Carlinhos Barros didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Iraty Sport Club. 64 minutes into the game, Rasgao SC's Perivaldo Matos nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Roberto de Mendonça made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. After 69 played minutes Rasgao SC got a freekick which was hit by Romário de Carvalho. If Romário de Carvalho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 79 minutes, João Abreu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Iraty Sport Club's supporters crossed their fingers, but João Abreu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Iraty Sport Club's Roberto de Mendonça played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Perivaldo Matos in the 84th minute of play. Roberto de Mendonça took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alfredo Arósio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With an all-out effort, Iraty Sport Club's Carlinhos Barros threw himself towards the right post 88 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from João Abreu, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 90 minutes into the match, Perivaldo Matos had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Roberto de Mendonça. Iraty Sport Club's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Perivaldo Matos was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. Rasgao SC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
