Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Ivo Vasconcelos started the match with the kick off. After a rather tough play, Portalegre FC's Dráuzio Reis got a free kick in the 4th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Portalegre FC's Zé Pedro Carioca slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Nuno do Vale. That made the score 1-1 after 11 minutes of play. Virgílio Borges hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. Luís Fabiano Paraibano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nelsinho Neves in the 17th minute of play. In the 19th minute, Fabrício Cerezo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 25 minutes, Gilvan Tepedino managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Portalegre FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gilvan Tepedino was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Portalegre FC's Zé Pedro Carioca got a good chance for a goal in the 27th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Gilvan Tepedino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nuno do Vale showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zé Pedro Carioca, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. After a rather tough play, Taquarivai's Ivo Vasconcelos got a free kick in the 35th minute. After a good free kick, Ivo Vasconcelos got an opportunity to smash the ball into the goal, but unfortunately, the ball went just outside the goal, which resulted in a goal kick for Portalegre FC. Ivo Vasconcelos might have been able to make a better finish in the 37th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Luís Fabiano Paraibano. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ivo Vasconcelos ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 39th minute, Gilvan Tepedino made a precise shot to the right of Nuno do Vale. Taquarivai's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. In the 45th minute, Zé Pedro Carioca got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of Portalegre FC booed when Taquarivai was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Álvaro Martins didn't get a good kick on the ball. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Ivo Vasconcelos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Luís Fabiano Paraibano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gilvan Tepedino scored 3-2 in the 61st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Nuno do Vale, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Ivo Vasconcelos struck a weak shot in the 66th minute. Luís Fabiano Paraibano didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Taquarivai. Nelsinho Neves received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Luís Fabiano Paraibano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Portalegre FC's Fabrício Cerezo got a free kick in the 74th minute. When Ivo Vasconcelos came up free with the goalie in the 74th minute, the Taquarivai fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ivo Vasconcelos couldn't finish the play. Zé Pedro Carioca blasted a shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Nuno do Vale having to make a save. Ivo Vasconcelos who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 80thth minute tested the skills of Luís Fabiano Paraibano when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Gilvan Tepedino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nuno do Vale having to interfere. If Gilvan Tepedino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Nelsinho Neves came up free with the goalie in the 90th minute, the Taquarivai fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nelsinho Neves couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, Portalegre FC's André Luís Miranda got a free kick in the 93rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gilvan Tepedino in the 95th minute of play forced Taquarivai's goalkeeper Nuno do Vale to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nuno do Vale showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gilvan Tepedino, who was totally free with the ball in the 97th minute. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
