In the 7th minute, Zé Pedro Carioca reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Geovani Ribeiro. The goal made the score 1-0. Geovani Ribeiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Virgílio Borges in the 9th minute of play. If Boguslaw Dres had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Jaime Rezende received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Luís Fabiano Paraibano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Luís Fabiano Paraibano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jaime Rezende in the 20th minute of the match. Jaime Rezende recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 22nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ian Reis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A long shot from Laércio Pena in the 27th minute of play was well struck, but Geovani Ribeiro made a really good save at the right post. 30 minutes into the match, OS MALA VÉIAS MZ's goal looked a bit too open when Fabrício Cerezo came free, but Geovani Ribeiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 32 played minutes OS MALA VÉIAS MZ got a freekick which was hit by Hannes Valler. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jaime Rezende in the 37th minute of play forced Portalegre FC's goalkeeper Luís Fabiano Paraibano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 38th minute, Jaime Rezende got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 43rd minute, Jaime Rezende managed to get in a good position for a shot. OS MALA VÉIAS MZ's supporters rose to their feet, but Jaime Rezende was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Luís Fabiano Paraibano breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Gilvan Tepedino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Geovani Ribeiro having to interfere. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Boguslaw Dres to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fabrício Cerezo in the 53rd minute of play forced OS MALA VÉIAS MZ's goalkeeper Geovani Ribeiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Luís Fabiano Paraibano didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 61st minute, which inside left pole to 1-1. If Boguslaw Dres had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 66th minute Jaime Rezende shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luís Fabiano Paraibano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Boguslaw Dres really showed his touch with that goal: 2-2. After 81 played minutes OS MALA VÉIAS MZ got a freekick which was hit by Dagoberto Andrade. The supporters of Portalegre FC booed when OS MALA VÉIAS MZ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hannes Valler didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 86th match minute, Portalegre FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fabrício Cerezo to maneuver through the defense. 91 minutes into the game, Diogo Cosme cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-2.
