Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Clóvis Xavier received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Carlos Machado tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bernardo Martins could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 8th minute of the match, but Carlos Machado made a huge save. Sérgio Neiva received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Genílson Prata tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Genílson Prata stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gláuber Vargas's shot from short distance in the 17th minute. In the 18th minute, Sandro de Castro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 22nd match minute, Anajas SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bernardo Martins to maneuver through the defense. In the 25th minute Sandro de Castro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carlos Machado saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 29 minutes into the game, Baltazar Camargo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Jejui AD - U23's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Anajas SC the free kick. In the 29th minute, Baltazar Camargo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Carlos Machado made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Clóvis Xavier in the 32nd minute of play. Clóvis Xavier received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Carlos Machado came out and tried to block the shot, but Clóvis Xavier slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 33rd minute. Yan de Alcântara received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Carlos Machado tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Clóvis Xavier recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 44th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Clóvis Xavier stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Bernardo Martins had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Genílson Prata made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sérgio Neiva in the 56th minute. Carlos Machado showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Clóvis Xavier, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. Bernardo Martins fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carlos Machado having to interfere. Clóvis Xavier sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ediberto Amaral during the 80th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Jejui AD - U23's Ediberto Amaral got a free kick in the 80th minute. Clóvis Xavier sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Anajas SC's Bernardo Martins got a good chance for a goal in the 88th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Bernardo Martins recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 90th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 94 played minutes Jejui AD - U23 got a freekick which was hit by Oscar Galvão. After a defensive mix-up in Jejui AD - U23's zone, Bernardo Martins stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Carlos Machado came out of the goal and Bernardo Martins tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. There was no doubt that Anajas SC were the better team. Anajas SC's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
