Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Maripa SC's Zé Carlos Barral started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jardel Goiano got free with Ulisses Ramalho in the 6th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 8thth minute of the game Arnaldo Quintal who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Maripa SC's Osmar Loyola was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Elói de Alcântara struck a weak shot in the 9th minute. Osmar Loyola didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Guapiara. After 11 minutes of play, Guapiara's Arnaldo Quintal made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Osmar Loyola was left in no man's land by his defense there! Ulisses Ramalho showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Décio Maranhense, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. Zé Carlos Barral recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 17th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Osmar Loyola stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Elói de Alcântara's shot from short distance in the 29th minute. Décio Maranhense's late challenge caught a Guapiara's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Décio Maranhense helped the player get up and apologised. After 30 played minutes Maripa SC got a freekick which was hit by Décio Maranhense. Elói de Alcântara fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Osmar Loyola having to interfere. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Elói de Alcântara to strike the kick off in the second half. Ivo Torres charged in rather forcefully in the 51st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ivo Torres the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Arnaldo Quintal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Maripa SC's Zé Carlos Barral in the 63rd minute got a chance for a shot 63rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Guapiara's goalie prevented a goal. 68 minutes into the match, Guapiara's goal looked a bit too open when Jardel Goiano came free, but Ulisses Ramalho reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Zé Carlos Barral received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Ulisses Ramalho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jardel Goiano scored 1-2 in the 74th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ulisses Ramalho, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Maripa SC's Osmar Loyola played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Andrézinho Terra in the 78th minute of play. After 81 played minutes Maripa SC got a freekick which was hit by Afonso Guerra. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Elói de Alcântara in the 83rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Osmar Loyola prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Arnaldo Quintal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Zé Carlos Barral had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Andrézinho Terra kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. Fernandão Terra, 94 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. The Maripa SC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Guapiara's performance. The match ended with a win for Guapiara.
