Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Zororo's Edmundo Cavalcante started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 13 minutes of play, Zororo's Edmundo Cavalcante made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Narciso Dantas was left in no man's land by his defense there! Zororo's Edmílson Ortiz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nando Bittencourt in the 16th minute of play. Sílvio Lopes hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. In the 18th minute, Rony Carvalho got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Jerônimo Goiano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Narciso Dantas made a fantastic save in the 27th minute, when Edmundo Cavalcante sent off a good shot on target. Edmílson Ortiz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Enrique Coelho in the 29th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Ibicua SS's zone, Rony Carvalho stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Narciso Dantas came out of the goal and Rony Carvalho tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Enrique Coelho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ibicua SS's Narciso Dantas proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 38th minute of the match, managed to save Ibicua SS from getting a goal against them. João Augusto Fernandez charged in rather forcefully in the 41st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed João Augusto Fernandez the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Enrique Coelho in the 42nd minute of play forced Zororo's goalkeeper Edmílson Ortiz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rony Carvalho hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Nando Bittencourt made a kick off. Edmílson Ortiz made a fantastic save in the 55th minute, when Enrique Coelho sent off a good shot on target. Edmílson Ortiz was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Enrique Coelho showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-1 in the 56 minute of play. In the 74th minute Rony Carvalho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Narciso Dantas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Vânderson Monteiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Edmundo Cavalcante fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Narciso Dantas having to interfere. Edmílson Ortiz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nando Bittencourt, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. The supporters of Ibicua SS booed when Zororo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. João Augusto Fernandez didn't get a good kick on the ball. Edmílson Ortiz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nando Bittencourt in the 92nd minute of play. 93 minutes into the match, Enrique Coelho had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Edmílson Ortiz. Zororo's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Enrique Coelho was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. Edmílson Ortiz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nando Bittencourt in the 96th minute of the match. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Ibicua SS eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
