Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Sidney Chaves got the match started through his kick off. 3 minutes into the game, Sidney Chaves was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Caximba's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Zororo the free kick. In the 3rd match minute, Caximba was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sidney Chaves to maneuver through the defense. Rony Carvalho hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. Edmundo Cavalcante's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 10thth minute, Jeremias Pinheiro skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After 12 minutes of play Caximba's Sidney Chaves was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. A collision led to Caximba getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Sidney Chaves hit a great ball. Edmundo Cavalcante fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jeremias Pinheiro having to interfere. Anselmo Terra kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. In the 18th minute, Gildo Torres got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 22nd minute, Edmundo Cavalcante managed to get in a good position for a shot. Zororo's supporters rose to their feet, but Edmundo Cavalcante was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jeremias Pinheiro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 36 played minutes Caximba got a freekick which was hit by Gildo Torres. Rony Carvalho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jerônimo Goiano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jeremias Pinheiro having to interfere. In the 41st match minute, Caximba was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Anselmo Terra to maneuver through the defense. With a little luck, Caximba's Jeremias Pinheiro got control of the ball when Edmundo Cavalcante tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Caximba's zone, Rony Carvalho stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jeremias Pinheiro came out of the goal and Rony Carvalho tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a little luck, Caximba's Jeremias Pinheiro got control of the ball when Edmundo Cavalcante tried to sneak it across the goal line. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Edmundo Cavalcante was the one to do the kick off. Jeremias Pinheiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edmundo Cavalcante, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. A collision led to Caximba getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Geovânio Camargo hit a great ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Anselmo Terra during the 56th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Anselmo Terra kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. 65 minutes into the game, Zororo's Edmundo Cavalcante nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jeremias Pinheiro made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. In the 70th minute, Edgard Munhoz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 73rd minute, Edmundo Cavalcante got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Rony Carvalho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Edmundo Cavalcante had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Edmundo Cavalcante took the ball and in the 78 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jeremias Pinheiro. Jeremias Pinheiro dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. Rony Carvalho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jeremias Pinheiro having to interfere. When Jerônimo Goiano came up free with the goalie in the 88th minute, the Zororo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jerônimo Goiano couldn't finish the play. If Edmundo Cavalcante had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Caximba's Jeremias Pinheiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jerônimo Goiano in the 98th minute of play. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Zororo had played much better football throughout.
