Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Emílio Baiano got the match started through his kick off. Luizinho Valladares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nando Bittencourt in the 5th minute of the match. In the 8th minute, Sílvio Lopes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ibicua SS's Narciso Dantas proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 9th minute of the match, managed to save Ibicua SS from getting a goal against them. Nelson Dias struck a weak shot in the 10th minute. Narciso Dantas didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Tucuriu. In the 13th minute, Fernando Braga hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ibicua SS's Enrique Coelho got a good chance for a goal in the 16th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Emílio Baiano recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 20th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Enrique Coelho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 29th minute, Enrique Coelho got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After having played for 33 minutes, Nando Bittencourt managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ibicua SS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nando Bittencourt was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Tucuriu's Luizinho Valladares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nando Bittencourt in the 39th minute of play. When Vânderson Monteiro fell near the penalty area in the 40th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ibicua SS's protests and gave Vânderson Monteiro a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Tucuriu booed when Ibicua SS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vânderson Monteiro didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 43rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Tucuriu's goalkeeper Luizinho Valladares, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Enrique Coelho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Nando Bittencourt was the one to do the kick off. Nando Bittencourt received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Luizinho Valladares tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. During the 61st minute of the match Vânderson Monteiro completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Vânderson Monteiro a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. A collision led to Ibicua SS getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Vânderson Monteiro hit a great ball. If Emílio Baiano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 68 minutes, Enrique Coelho managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ibicua SS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Enrique Coelho was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Luizinho Valladares showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from José Barral, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. Enrique Coelho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luizinho Valladares having to interfere. A collision led to Tucuriu getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Edgard Breckenfeld hit a great ball. Tucuriu were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Ibicua SS for a fine match.
