Willian Loyola fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Oscar Ceresso having to interfere. Ibitirama EC's Willian Loyola got a good chance for a goal in the 17th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Igor Zanette received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Oscar Ceresso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Genílson Mumbach didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Ariquemes's Washington Pinheiro shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 1-0 in the ordered_time% minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Igor Zanette in the 28th minute of play forced Ariquemes's goalkeeper Oscar Ceresso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 32 minutes into the match, Ibitirama EC's goalkeeper Genílson Mumbach had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Washington Pinheiro. After 34 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Ibitirama EC! The goalkeeper, Genílson Mumbach, was totally fooled by Ariquemes's Carlos Eduardo Berger, who 35 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Frédson Varela received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Oscar Ceresso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Igor Zanette took the ball and in the 43 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Oscar Ceresso. Oscar Ceresso dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. 47 minutes into the match, Ibitirama EC's goal looked a bit too open when Dalmo Vieira came free, but Genílson Mumbach reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Dalmo Vieira was the one to do the kick off. After having played for 52 minutes, Dalmo Vieira managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ariquemes's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dalmo Vieira was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Willian Loyola sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Ibitirama EC booed when Ariquemes was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Chicão Abraão didn't get a good kick on the ball. Willian Loyola charged in rather forcefully in the 64th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Willian Loyola the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 64th minute, Willian Loyola hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ariquemes's Dalmo Vieira got a good chance for a goal in the 65th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Dalmo Vieira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Chicão Abraão's late challenge caught a Ibitirama EC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Chicão Abraão helped the player get up and apologised. In the 82nd minute, Chicão Abraão hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 89th minute Igor Zanette shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Oscar Ceresso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Frédson Varela's late challenge caught a Ariquemes's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Frédson Varela helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Ibitirama EC's Frédson Varela got a free kick in the 90th minute. If Washington Pinheiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Ariquemes fans cheered their team off the field, for while Ibitirama EC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
