Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Vânderson Trigo made the kick off and thus started the match. Faustão Rosado kicked well hit freekick during the 6th minute of the match. Pirataba EC's Reinaldo Moreira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Amadeu Fernandes in the 7th minute of play. In the 12th minute Vânderson Trigo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Reinaldo Moreira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Reinaldo Moreira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Amadeu Fernandes in the 15th minute of the match. Amadeu Fernandes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 29th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Henrique Pena had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Abelardo Vale was out of position in the 34 minute of play, and Fabiano Lima capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Fabiano Lima really showed his touch with that goal: 1-1. The audience was convinced that Vânderson Trigo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Reinaldo Moreira was relentless in the 38th minute of the game. Pirataba EC's Reinaldo Moreira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ramón da Cunha in the 40th minute of play. 40 minutes into the match, Ramón da Cunha had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Reinaldo Moreira. Pirataba EC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ramón da Cunha was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. A collision led to Ruilandia getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Michel Rodrigues hit a great ball. After the first half Ruilandia were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 52nd minute of the game. One of Ruilandia:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Pirataba EC:s goal. In the 59th minute Henrique Pena shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Abelardo Vale saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Amadeu Fernandes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Ruilandia's Vânderson Trigo got a good chance for a goal in the 63rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Vânderson Trigo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Reinaldo Moreira having to interfere. After having played for 69 minutes, Vânderson Trigo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ruilandia's supporters crossed their fingers, but Vânderson Trigo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 74th match minute, Pirataba EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by César Prata to maneuver through the defense. In the 77th minute, Amauri Guimarães hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Zézinho Mazza took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 78th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Abelardo Vale. Ruilandia's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Reinaldo Moreira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vânderson Trigo in the 84th minute of the match. With an all-out effort, Ruilandia's Reinaldo Moreira threw himself towards the right post 87 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Vânderson Trigo, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Amadeu Fernandes's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Reinaldo Moreira read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 89th minute of play.
