Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Naru EC's Dalmo Diniz started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Naru EC's Dalmo Diniz got a good chance for a goal in the 9th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Ismael Peixoto fell near the penalty area in the 13th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Verme Cinza's protests and gave Ismael Peixoto a yellow card for diving instead. In the 13th match minute, Verme Cinza was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ismael Peixoto to maneuver through the defense. When Jacinto Gaspar came up free with the goalie in the 17th minute, the Verme Cinza fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jacinto Gaspar couldn't finish the play. If Fernão Mello had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jailson Neiva received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Bernard Golota tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dalmo Diniz in the 29th minute of play forced Verme Cinza's goalkeeper Bernard Golota to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Edson de Toledo charged in rather forcefully in the 31st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Edson de Toledo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Naru EC booed when Verme Cinza was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edson de Toledo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Narciso Correia's shot from long distance in the 32nd minute was not bad at all, but Verme Cinza's Bernard Golota knew what was happening and pushed the ball into his arms just before it hit the right post. Jacinto Gaspar recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 39th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 40th match minute, Naru EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Anísio da Mata to maneuver through the defense. Fabrício de Sousa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jacinto Gaspar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jacinto Gaspar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Fabrício de Sousa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Fernão Mello was the one to do the kick off. In the 53rd minute Jailson Neiva shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bernard Golota saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Jacinto Gaspar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jacinto Gaspar's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 58thth minute, Fabrício de Sousa skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. When Fernão Mello came up free with the goalie in the 60th minute, the Verme Cinza fans jumped to their feet. After some fancy dribbling in the 68th minute, Fernão Mello managed to get in a good position for a shot. Verme Cinza's supporters rose to their feet, but Fernão Mello was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fabrício de Sousa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jacinto Gaspars short, quick shot in the 70thth minute got Fabrício de Sousa to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After some careless play in the Naru EC defense, Jacinto Gaspar kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Fabrício de Sousa. The Naru EC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Fabrício de Sousa should have stopped the shot. 84 minutes into the match, Naru EC's Jailson Neiva sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Bernard Golota narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After some careless play in the Naru EC defense, Jacinto Gaspar kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Fabrício de Sousa. The Naru EC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Fabrício de Sousa should have stopped the shot. If Jacinto Gaspar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jacinto Gaspar blasted a shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Fabrício de Sousa having to make a save.
